DECATUR, Ala. — [May 21, 2026] — GreenPoint Ag announced today that its Board of Managers has selected Amy Winstead as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Leah Anderson, Chair of the GreenPoint Ag Board of Managers, said the decision follows a thorough and intentional search process.

“Following a thorough and intentional search process, the Board is confident Amy is the right leader to guide GreenPoint Ag into its next chapter,” Anderson said. “She brings a strong combination of operational leadership, strategic vision, and servant leadership that aligns exceptionally well with the mission and future of our company.”

Winstead currently serves as Senior Vice President of Retail for GreenPoint Ag, where she leads a $900 million-plus, multi-location agribusiness operation serving growers across the Southeast. During her career, she has led major initiatives in operational optimization and digital innovation while helping strengthen profitability and customer-focused service across the organization.

With more than 20 years of agricultural leadership experience, Winstead has served in leadership roles for both GreenPoint Ag and Agri-AFC. She also spent nearly a decade with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, where her work focused on precision agriculture, grower education, and agricultural technology advancement.

“Amy understands both the complexity of modern ag retail and the importance of relationships within the cooperative system,” Anderson said. “She has earned trust and credibility throughout our organization because she understands the business, values people, and remains closely connected to the growers and rural communities we serve.”

Winstead serves on the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Retailers Association and the Ag Data Coalition and is recognized nationally for her expertise in precision agriculture and ag technology systems. She earned both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Soils, with a minor in Agribusiness, from Auburn University.

Winstead resides with her husband and children on their cattle farm in north Alabama, maintaining a close connection with the agricultural way of life.

“The Board believes deeply in the future of GreenPoint Ag,” Anderson added. “We believe Amy’s integrity, humility, and passion for agriculture uniquely position her to lead this organization well for our employees, member cooperatives, customers, and communities.”
